Valentina Compagno

Executive Manager

Lawyer, she has a long term experience in the debt collection sector as Director of Sicilcassa SpA’s liquidation phase on a mandate by Bank of Italy. She has been managing Non-Performing Loans mainly through financial debt restructuring operations and through transfer of credit portfolios. She works, since several years, with the Italian regulatory authorities, being the point of contact of Bank of Italy regarding all loan transfer operations related to the liquidation phase of Sicilcassa

Manfredi de Marco

Head of Business Development

He holds an Economics degree and a significant experience in real estate, where he started in KPMG Corporate Finance team. After a position in BNP Paribas REIM and Fabrica SGR as fund manager, he later moved to Gruppo Parsitalia as Head of Strategic Planning. He has finally worked for Sorgente Group, firstly as Head of RE Assets Area of Sorgente SGR and after as Executive Manager and Managing Director for Sorgente REM. In 2017, he came back to Fabrica SGR.
Over the years, he has dealt both with management  and investments/development of RE portfolios, for a total amount over 5 Bn Euro, acting in different roles: advisor, manager, investor, developer, supplier

Riccardo Corsi

Head of Strategic Planning, Fund Raising & IR

He holds an Economics and Business degree, is an Auditor and started his career in Planning and control in 1999 when he joined Business Value, consulting firm; in 2005, he joined ACTA S.p.A., a listed company at London AIM, as Financial Controller. In Fabrica since 2006, he is Responsible of Strategic Planning, Fund Raising & IR and leads a team of 5 people

Lelio Mazzarella

Risk Manager & ESG Manager

He graduated in Economics at Parthenope University in Napoli, starting his career in 2005 as a consultant at Patalano & Associati, dealing strategic, organisational, financial, control projects for banks and other supervised entities.

Since 2010, he has been focusing in internal controls, at first as internal auditor for BCC and then as risk manager, planning and control at Banca Popolare del Mediterraneo. From 2014 he has been in charge of risk management and asset evaluation in Sorgente SGR and Torre SGR, until he joined Fabrica in 2018.

Ilaria Lo Scalzo

Asset Management Director

Holding a degree in Civil Engineering and an MBA, she has been a registered Professional Engineer since 1998. She has built extensive experience in the real estate sector, starting her career at Enel Real Estate as a Developer. In 2003, she joined Pirelli Real Estate Group (now Prelios), where she served as Senior Property Manager before taking on the roles of Fund Manager and Head of Technical Management. Since joining Fabrica in 2015, she has overseen reserved real estate funds with total AUM of approximately €2 billion. From July 2026, she serves as Director of Asset Management.

Benedetto Orsini

Head of Legal Dept

Lawyer, he had been part of the Hogan Lovells international law firm until 2018, dealing with corporate law and governance for corporations. As he has been trained for the profession of notary, he has a dep knowledge of civil law and real estate issues

Giovanni Maria Benucci

CEO

Giovanni Maria Benucci has been CEO of Fabrica since April 2016. A qualified lawyer, he has 25 years’ professional experience specialising in the property sector, having served as CEO of Domus Italia SpA prior to joining Fabrica.

Prior to that, he served first as Managing Director and then as Vice-Chairman of Sorgente SGR. During his career, he has also served as a Director of Futura SpA, Head of the Restructuring Division at Sicilcassa SpA in L.c.a. (approximately €4 billion in NPLs) and as a lecturer at the Faculty of Law at the University of Palermo.
